Our Sessions Move You in the Right Direction!

For nearly 10 years, TransFocus has been providing hundreds of organizations with education and strategies to unlock the places where transgender people get stuck at work. We have educated over 30,000 employees and conducted research among 15,000 people across many different industries and sizes of companies. Choose from a range of educational and strategy sessions to support thoughtful and deliberate cultural and structural changes in your organization.

 
 

Improve Culture through Presentations

Starting at $2,500, we offer 3 levels of education with two that are for all employees and one that is for managers and leaders. Each session is 1.5 hours in duration, can be either in-person and/or virtual, and includes tailored content, recording with 1 year license, no cap on attendees, and high-quality workbooks to deepen learning.

Choose among 3 levels of on-demand education, including:

  • Gender Diversity Basics (GDB): For all levels of employees and is focused on language, context, and respectful interactions among people we are meeting for the first time. This course is available in English and French.

  • Intermediate Gender Diversity (IGD): For all levels of employees and covers information about how to intervene when transgender people we know face challenges from others, such as hurtful jokes, invasive questions, unrealistic expectations, and microaggressions. This course entails concrete tips and tools about when to step up and when to step back.

  • Gender Diversity for Managers (GDM): This session covers specific responsibilities managers have to transgender employees before, during, and after coming out as transgender at work.

 

Improve Structures through Strategy

Tap into our expertise during strategy sessions where we meet with your leaders and/or specific departments (e.g., HR, IT, communications, or facilities) to understand the challenges and discuss options for solving them that have worked at other organizations. Here is the list of topics in the recommended order:

  1. Procedures/Programs | Supporting Trans Employees Toolkit/Policy, Extended Health Care, Leaves of Absence

  2. Communications | Visual & Written

  3. Information systems | First Names, Pronouns, Titles, Gender Data

  4. Washrooms | Existing & Future Facilities

For a cost of $1,500, each strategy session entails up to 7 hours of consultation on one of the above listed topics or an overview of all topics, including the following steps:

  • Client compiles and sends to TransFocus relevant documents (up to 15 pages)

    for TransFocus to review

  • Meeting between the TransFocus expert and your leaders

  • Explore and discuss best practice options available for change

  • TransFocus writes and sends a summary of key outcomes of the meeting (1-3 pages), including best next steps

 
 

 
 

Improve Culture through Dialogue

Check out our newest offering of small group discussions. While large presentations lay the groundwork, small group discussions provide a crucial, intimate environment for employees to explore, practice, and internalize inclusive behaviors. These sessions allow employees to ask questions, share experiences, and address personal uncertainties in a safe, supportive space. By offering practical application of inclusivity concepts, small group discussions help remove the barriers of discomfort and hesitation, empowering employees to confidently embrace and advocate for gender diversity.
